Easter Event at the Ethnographic Open Air Museum
As every spring, the Latvian Foster Family Association organized an Easter Event. It took place on April 27 at 11:00 at the Ethnographic Open Air Museum, and more than 150 participants from all over Latvia took part at the event.
All families involved with the LFF and all supporters were invited to the event. For the 2nd year in a row, the First Lady Dace Seisuma participated at the event, and expressed her gratitude to families for providing a home and a loving heart to the orphans and children left without parental care.
The aim of the activities organized by the Association is to unite families together and provide an opportunity for children and parents to meet new friends and spend time outdoors. During these events, families meet other families with similar joys and sorrows. The main events for all families are organized only twice a year - at New Year's Eve and at Easter.
The Easter bunnies helped children find hidden chocolate eggs during the event, and children participated in activities and plays. The folklore ensemble "Rija" enriched the event by playing songs and dances.Tasty prizes were provided with the support of "Skrīveru saldumi", the International Women's Club Riga, „Mikas M”, „Aldaris”, „Drusti”, „ZIF”, „Lage Ko”.
